The wonderful world of box pushing…
Remember the days when box pushing was fun? Slide a box here, move there, make sure you don’t trap yourself. Ahh, the joys of being a warehouse keeper. What? Those days aren’t over. You can experience them over and over again. That’s right be it PC or Mac, XBOX or Playstation, you can have the fun again of playing the box pusher. You know the game I’m talking about. Sokoban and it’s millions of variations. In fact even yours truly had the opportunity to create levels for a 3d Sokoban-style game called Grek’s Puzzle Challenge (the last game on the page). Originally created in 1980 by some Japanese dude (you can read the Wikipedia entry as linked above), it has come to be loved and played by millions. It’s no surprise, then, that it should come to Xbox Live Community games, in the form of Penga’s Peril.

Elf dentistry aside, our next game involves a toy box. A MAGIC toy box. In fact a magic toy CHEST. What would you expect a magic toy chest to do? Well I would think make toys. I mean it’s magic, and it’s a toy chest, what possible magic could a toy chest do, but magically produce toys. At least that’s what I was thinking. Didn’t you at least a little bit think about that when I said it? Apparently the MAGIC toy chest doesn’t like to make toys either. Nope, it was all a clever ploy by Johnny (or Jimmy, or Timmy, or whoever that kid’s name is), to get you to help him do his chores. I mean his Mom tells him to clean up the room and does Johnny get industrious enough to do it himself, heck no. Sure just promise any Joe that there’s a magic toy chest awaiting him and then cruelly snatch it away and tell him he has to help you put away the toys.

Well today’s adventure game made in AGS isn’t about anyone named Daisy, but if you can figure out the reference I’ll randomly put your name in one of my reviews, and if you figure out the double reference, I’ll put your name your name randomly in TWO of my reviews. Anyways, today’s game is about a little bot named Annie Android by Ben Chandler aka Ben304. “Annie Android has her eye on that handsome Mailbot, but is shocked to discover that she has been assigned to be another bot’s partner! Help Annie win the heart of Mailbot and defeat the nasty RoboHQ!” is what the readme says. So let’s see if we can help her out. Annie Android is made by the same guy who made Shifter’s Box. So it’s sure to be interesting.
