Star Crash – Sorry, no Caroline Munro – Flash

StarCrashSS01

My next Flash Friday entry is called Star Crash by Glowing Eye Games.  We’re not talking about some cheesy 70’s B-grade star wars rip-off either.   We’re talking about a flash game.  I really don’t know what this game has to do with stars other than the space backdrops, or maybe the flying, blue, glowy, thingy.  But it’s a simple game where you collect the blue glowy “stars” and orange glowing spirals.  You must simply avoid the red glowy thingies, or else it’s game over.  It’s simply a survival and get points game.  Nothing spectacular.  Also your mouse cursor is an eye, a glowing eye.  I mean how weird is that?  It’s not that bad to play though.  It does start to get frantic.  This is a good example of a beginners game.  If you want to get your feet wet making a game, do the simplest thing possible.

This is not unlike Death vs. Monsters, however there’s no shooting in this, and thus it’s not as good of a game.  The thing about this is it’s so simple it’s deceptively simple.  You think you can stay alive, but once those ready glow things start shooting out (and they shoot out in a radial pattern from random screen locations) then before you know it, you’ve ran into something and game over.

The graphics have a glowing quality to them, and the whole play area seems to be covered with stylized scanlines.  There are beeping type sounds, but they’re overshadowed by the music which has some sort of Arabic beat or something (don’t quote me on that I’m thinking visions of belly dancers).  The presentation overall is decent, nothing too fancy with full menus.  This is probably fully the shortest review I’ve done.  There’s just not much going for it.  While the visuals are pretty the game just isn’t that engaging.  Save your money.  Oh wait, it’s free, in that case, save your time.  Actually for a free game it’s not terrible and on the plus side there is a high score board.

I was searching on google for free online flash games and i found http://www.jhankar.pk/games.html This sites latest and all time favorite flash games from various flash gamers publishers like miniclip, addictinggames,flashgames247 etc

So i strongly recommend to check both the sites and leave your feedback.

Thanks

Edit by Uhfgood: This showed up in my spam filter. While it does indeed look like spam, it also has the unique privilege of having seemingly proper spelling (except that above sentence lacking any punctuation), and makes me think someone did this by hand. So while it looks like it was intended to ‘spam’ this games site onto my blog, there’s no real harm in it, as it leads to a legit site with flash games on it, so I’m approving the message.
