Okay. While looking through completed WME games I might enjoy, I got on to this Barrow Hill by Shadow Tor Studios. I almost wasn’t going to review this, because of the subject matter I determined would be acceptable. But looking at the first person perspective I sort of felt it wouldn’t like get gory or anything. Now the case may change with the full version, but the demo is just fine. I also wanted to choose something a little bit different than I normally play. Firstly the first person perspective adventure games (say like Myst) is not something I play usually. Secondly I really don’t care much for supposedly “scary”, horror, or thriller games. Mostly because as horror movies, these games get more realistic and thus a bit more gory. Luckily this is an adventure game, so the chances of this being truly that bad is small.

(wme) Barrow Hill – Something spooky this way comes…
Monday, March 30th, 2009(ags) Annie Android – Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do. I’m half crazy all for the love of you. – AGS
Monday, March 30th, 2009Well today’s adventure game made in AGS isn’t about anyone named Daisy, but if you can figure out the reference I’ll randomly put your name in one of my reviews, and if you figure out the double reference, I’ll put your name your name randomly in TWO of my reviews. Anyways, today’s game is about a little bot named Annie Android by Ben Chandler aka Ben304. “Annie Android has her eye on that handsome Mailbot, but is shocked to discover that she has been assigned to be another bot’s partner! Help Annie win the heart of Mailbot and defeat the nasty RoboHQ!” is what the readme says. So let’s see if we can help her out. Annie Android is made by the same guy who made Shifter’s Box. So it’s sure to be interesting.
(wme) 5 Magical Amulets – Blah blah blah, wizard, blah blah, end of the world, blah… – WME
Monday, March 23rd, 2009Our next game is another WME created adventure game called 5 Magical Amulets by Off Studio Adventure Team. It’s another freebie. Free is always good. Okay so here we have the magic kingdom of Nyron. Well maybe just a kingdom with magic in it, or who knows. There’s a good enchantress named Twelga. With her green amulet she keeps things green, and helps things to grow. She lived in a forest. One day she finds a baby, and decides to adopt the child as her own. She names the baby Linda. Twelga raised Linda to be a normal girl. No learning magic. Twelga started getting sad and by Linda’s 18th birthday decided to let Linda in a little secret.
